Key Responsibilities:
Demand Forecasting:
• Analyze historical sales data to predict future product demand.
• Develop and maintain accurate demand forecasts to ensure optimal inventory levels.
• Collaborate with sales, marketing, and production teams to incorporate market trends and promotional activities into demand forecasts.
Reporting and Analysis:
• Generate detailed reports on demand trends, inventory levels, and sales performance.
• Utilize advanced Excel functions and ERP systems to create and manage data reports.
• Provide insights and recommendations based on data analysis to improve forecasting accuracy and inventory management.
Data Management:
• Ensure the integrity and accuracy of data used in demand forecasting and reporting.
• Continuously update and maintain demand planning databases and systems.
• Implement and enhance data collection processes to improve reporting efficiency.
Collaboration and Communication:
• Work closely with supply chain, production, and sales teams to align demand forecasts with production schedules and inventory strategies.
• Present demand analysis and forecasts to stakeholders, highlighting key trends and potential risks.
• Act as a liaison between different departments to ensure cohesive and efficient demand planning processes.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Statistics, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in demand planning, forecasting, or a related analytical role within the consumer goods industry.
• Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUP, complex formulas).
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and identify trends.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management abilities.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple priorities.
• Experience with demand planning software (e.g., SAP APO, Oracle Demantra).
• Knowledge of statistical forecasting methods and tools.
